Introduction to the College of Economic Administration

The College of Economic Administration was founded in 1985, based on the Department of Economic Administration, which was the first administrative department of Yan’an University, a non-normal department having developed in response to the demands of the economic development after the start of the economic reform and opening up in the late 1970s.
At present, a reasonably structured faculty, an educational mode with various levels, and a program arrangement with wide scope have formed. There are 44 teachers in this  college, of which eight are professors, nine are associate professors, 14 are lecturers, and 13 are assistant lecturers. There are two graduate programs, i.e., Political Economics and Business Administration, and six undergraduate programs, i.e., Business Administration, Economics, Tourist Administration, Accounting, Finance, and Human Recourse Administration. The student population of is of about 2000. The graduates from this college are mainly working in the economic sector, of which many have become entrepreneurs, chief executive officers, and governmental administrators, and quite a few have acquired doctorate degrees. The college has become the cradle of all kinds of economic administrators of Northern Shaanxi.
The faculty of this college has published over 300 research papers, over 40 monographs, and won many prizes for academic achievements. Some teachers have been chosen as  excellent teachers at provincial level, some have won fellowships from famous foundations, some have received free training from MBA international centers via intense competition, and two teachers have been chosen as standing member of the Council of a national research association.
