Ma Bolin, Professor, Director
Ma Bolin is Deputy Secretary of the CPC Committee, Director of the hospital, professor, and chief physician of the Department of Respiration Medicine. He is also a member of the Council of Association of Hospitals of China, and has been chosen as one of the ten outstanding newsmakers of Shaanxi Province, and an Excellent Director of Hospital at National Level.
Professor Ma had been in positions of medicine and administration at the Yan’an University Affiliated Hospital for many years before being appointed Director of the hospital in 1999. He has made great contribution to the development of the hospital, and made the hospital number one among the city hospitals within the province.
Professor Ma has attained remarkable achievements in medical research. The book, Concise CT Diagnosis (《简明CT诊断》), which he co-edited, was awarded a first-rate Prize for Progress in Science and Technology in 1999, and a second-rate Prize for Progress in Science and Technology in 2000. In 2004, he participated in the research of National “863” Program, “Construction of Operating Table for Brain and Osteological Surgery Operation with Remotely Controlled Robot”, which set a precedent in participation in the National “863” Program by Northern Shaanxi.
On December 22, 2005, his project group collaborated with the General Hospital of the Navy and the Robot Research Institute of Beihang University, and successfully finished China’s first neuro-surgical operation with a remote controlled robot, which aroused huge repercussions in the whole country. He has published scores of research papers.
Li Shixin, Associate Professor, Secretary of CPC Committee
Li Shixin is chief physician of digestive medicine, an associate professor, and the Secretary of CPC Committee of Yan’an University Affiliated Hospital. He is also a member of the Digestive Professional Commission of the Medical Association of Shaanxi Province, and Vice Chair of the Medical Association of Yan'an University.
Professor Li graduated from Xi’an Medical College in 1981, and has been working at Yan’an University Affiliated Hospital since then. He had been doing clinic treatment and medical administrative work for a long time before being appointed Secretary of CPC Committee in 2006.
Professor Li’s research interests are in the development of digestive diagnosis radiological labels, new-type combiners of biopsy needles for celiac viscera, and parameters of cardiac vegetative nerves for the living population in Yan'an City. His research achievements including dermal dialysis have been awarded first-rate and second-rate prizes for Achievements in Progress of Science and Technology by the hospital. He has published three research papers in the journals at national level, eight in key professional journals, and over 30 in provincial journals.
Professor Li was chosen as Advanced Individual of Anti-Bird Flu in 2003, and has won the titles of Advanced Individual and Excellent Communist Party Member at university and hospital levels many times, and has won the Prizes for Progress in Science and Technology, New Profession, and Excellent Papers many times.
