Liu Jiande, Secretary of CPC Committee, Professor
Liu Jiande is Secretary of CPC Committee of Yan’an University, and Professor of political science. Deputy Director of the National Research Association of Mao Zedong Thought, Council Member of Research Association of Higher Education of Shaanxi Province, Council Member of the National Association of Higher Normal Education, and member of the provincial key discipline, History of the Communist Party of China.
Professor Liu Graduated from Department of Chinese, Shaanxi Normal University in 1976, and has been working in Yanan University since then. Since graduation, Professor Liu Jiande has been doing administration, educational research and teaching, and has consecutively served as Director of the Teaching Affairs Department, Assistant President and Director of Personnel Office, Deputy Party Secretary of the CPC Party Committee, and Vice President of Yanan University.
He has published over 40 papers, Including “On the Modernization of the Party’s Ruling Mode”, and authored and coauthored 16 books, including Mao Zedong’s Educational Thought and Practice in the Yanan Times, and has participated in the key national project of Philosophy and Social Science of the Eighth Five-year Plan, “Experiment and Enlightenment of the Party’s Construction of Advancement in the Yan’an Times.” At the present, he is in charge of a research project funded by the National Foundation for Social Sciences.
He has won three Prizes for Advanced Individual in research work on higher education of Shaanxi Province, a Prize for Excellent Party Workers of Shaanxi Province, a provincial prize for being one of Top Ten Educators in the province, a first-rate National Prize for Excellent Teaching Achievements, a Special Prize for Excellent Teaching Achievements awarded by the provincial government, and a third-rate Provincial Prize for Excellent Teaching Achievements, and a first-rate National Prize for Solicited Papers on the Party Construction in Higher Education Institutions.
